Enterolobium timbouva is a species in the genus Enterolobium, belonging to the Fabaceae family. It was first described in 1837 by Mart. and is native to several regions in Brazil, including the Northeast, North, Southeast, and West-Central areas, as well as Paraguay and the Global region in Colombia, specifically in the Núcleo Manuelita and Yopal areas.

Description

Enterolobium timbouva is a member of the Fabaceae family, commonly known as the legume or pea family. It is a species native to parts of South America, particularly Brazil, where it is found in the Northeast, North, Southeast, and West-Central regions. The species also occurs in Paraguay and in the Global region of Colombia, specifically in the Núcleo Manuelita and Yopal areas. The species was first published in 1837 by Mart. and is part of the genus Enterolobium, which includes several tree species primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions.
