Eurybia divaricata, known as the Common White Heart-Leaf Aster, is an herbaceous plant native to eastern North America. It is found in the eastern United States, particularly in the Appalachian Mountains, and in southeastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. It has also been introduced to several European countries. This species is characterized by its yellow-centered, white-rayed flowers arranged in flat-topped clusters, and by its narrow, heart-shaped, sharply serrated leaves and serpentine stems. It blooms from late summer through fall and is often found in dry open woods, wood-edges, and clearings. It is sometimes cultivated in North America and Europe for its hardiness and showy flowers.
