Description

Araucaria humboldtensis is a species of conifer in the family Araucariaceae. It is native to New Caledonia and is the only known location for this species. The tree faces significant threats due to habitat loss. Although its remaining populations are within protected park areas, the increased frequency of forest fires in recent years has led to continued habitat degradation and the dieback of mature trees. Conservation efforts are needed to address these challenges and ensure the survival of the species.
