It is a mangrove shrub or tree that can reach heights of up to 15 m, occasionally growing as tall as 30 m. This species is native to various regions across tropical Asia and the Pacific, including Langkawi, Oceania, Hawaii, the Andaman Islands, Bangladesh, Borneo, Cambodia, and others. It was first described in 1816.
Description
Bruguiera sexangula is a member of the Rhizophoraceae family and is found in mangrove ecosystems. It is known by the common name Oriental mangrove and is distributed across multiple tropical regions, including parts of Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Pacific.
