Thuja standishii is a species of thuja in the cypress family Cupressaceae. Native to southern Japan, it is found on the islands of Honshū and Shikoku. It is a medium-sized evergreen coniferous tree, typically growing to 20–35 m in height with a trunk up to 1 m in diameter.

Description

Thuja standishii, known as Japanese Arbor-vitae, is a conifer in the Cupressaceae family. It is native to southern Japan and is distributed on the islands of Honshū and Shikoku. The species was first described in 1867. It is an evergreen tree that can reach a height of 20–35 m with a trunk diameter of up to 1 m. Thuja standishii is part of the Thuja genus and is recognized for its coniferous characteristics and cypress family lineage.
