Prosartes lanuginosa is a species in the Liliaceae family, known by the common names hairy mandarin, yellow mandarin, or yellow fairybells. It is native to several regions in the eastern United States and parts of Canada, including Ontario, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The species was first described in 1839.

Description

Prosartes lanuginosa is a member of the Liliaceae family and is found in the eastern parts of North America. It is commonly referred to as hairy mandarin, yellow mandarin, or yellow fairybells. The plant is distributed across multiple U.S. states and the Canadian province of Ontario. It was formally published in 1839.
