Salvinia biloba is a species in the genus Salvinia, belonging to the family Salviniaceae. It is commonly known as giant salvinia and is native to the Neotropical region, specifically in parts of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The species was first described in 1825 by Raddi.
