Aulacomnium androgynum, known as aulacomnium moss, is a species of moss with a circumboreal distribution in Eurasia and North America. It is commonly found in moist, bottomland habitats and can grow on various substrates.

Description

Aulacomnium androgynum, described in 1827 by (Hedw.) Schwägr., is a moss species belonging to the family Aulacomniaceae. It is native to regions including Labrador, Québec, Flanders, SE, NO, DK, Vermont-US, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Belgium, the Flemish Region, and the Walloon Region. This species is characterized by its adaptability to a range of substrates and is typically found in moist environments. Its distribution is discontinuous across the circumboreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
