Erythronium rostratum is a species of flowering plant in the Liliaceae family, commonly known as the yellow fawn lily. It is native to the south-central United States, including states such as Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. The species was first described by W.Wolf in 1941.

Description

Erythronium rostratum, also referred to as the yellow trout lily or golden-star, is a herbaceous perennial plant. It is characterized by its yellow flowers and is typically found in forested or woodland habitats. The species is part of the Liliaceae family, which includes other lily-related plants. It is distributed across several states in the south-central region of the United States.
