Erythronium taylorii is a species of flowering plant in the Liliaceae family, known by the common name Taylor's fawnlily. Endemic to Tuolumne County, California, it is found only on shaded north-facing cliffs of Pilot Ridge, a remote mountain area outside Yosemite National Park. Discovered in 1996 and formally described in 1997, it was initially named E. taylori before being renamed E. taylorii. The species has a single known population with at least 1000 individuals.

Description

Erythronium taylorii belongs to the genus Erythronium and is part of the Liliaceae family. It is known by several common names, including Pilot Ridge fawn lily and Yosemite fawn lily. This species is restricted to a specific location in Tuolumne County, California, where it grows on shaded north-facing cliffs. It was first discovered in 1996 and was scientifically described in 1997 under the name E. taylori. The species was later renamed E. taylorii. The population consists of at least 1000 individuals, all located in a single area on Pilot Ridge, a remote mountain ridge outside Yosemite National Park.
