Rodgersia pinnata is a flowering plant in the Saxifragaceae family, native to Sichuan and Yunnan in China. It is a tall herbaceous perennial, reaching up to 120 cm in height with broad, textured palmate or pinnate leaves up to 90 cm long. The plant produces tall, erect panicles of small white, star-shaped flowers on reddish green stems during summer.
Description
Rodgersia pinnata, described by Franch. in 1888, is a member of the Saxifragaceae family. It is found in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces in China. The plant features large leaves divided into 5-9 leaflets and can grow up to 120 cm tall. In summer, it produces tall inflorescences of small white flowers arranged in panicles. The species has also been recorded in the Czech Republic and parts of Europe, though its native range remains in China.
