Rodgersia aesculifolia is a flowering plant in the Saxifragaceae family, native to northern China. It is a herbaceous perennial reaching up to 2 m in height with palmate leaves up to 25 cm long. The plant produces tall, erect panicles of small, star-shaped white or pink flowers in summer. Its leaves are similar to those of the horse chestnut, giving it the specific name aesculifolia.

Description

Rodgersia aesculifolia, described by Batalin in 1893, is a herbaceous perennial in the Saxifragaceae family. It is found in regions including China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, Inner Mongolia, and Tibet. The plant features large, textured, palmate leaves and tall, 60 cm panicles of small, star-shaped flowers that bloom in summer. The specific epithet aesculifolia refers to the leaf resemblance to horse chestnut (Aesculus).
