Rhizanthella omissa is a subterranean herb in the Orchidaceae family, found in Lamington National Park, Queensland. It flowers underground and was first described in 2006 by David Jones and Mark Clements. The species is listed as endangered under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.

Description

Rhizanthella omissa belongs to the Orchidaceae family and is native to Queensland, where it grows in casuarina forests. This subterranean herb produces flowers underground. It was formally described in 2006 by D.L. Jones and M.A. Clem. in The Orchadian. Due to its restricted habitat and population, the species is classified as endangered under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
