Eschscholzia minutiflora, commonly known as pygmy poppy, is a species in the family Papaveraceae. It was first described in 1876 by S. Watson and is native to Arizona, California, Mexico Northwest, Nevada, and Utah.

Description

Eschscholzia minutiflora is a member of the Papaveraceae family, commonly referred to as the poppy family. This species is distributed across the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, including the states of Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah, as well as the Mexico Northwest region. The species was formally published in 1876 by S. Watson. It is known by the common name pygmy poppy in English and shares this name in the target language.
