Portulacaria pygmaea, also known as the pygmy porkbush, is a small-leaved dwarf succulent plant found on the border between Namibia and the Cape Provinces of South Africa.

Description

Portulacaria pygmaea is a member of the Didiereaceae family and belongs to the genus Portulacaria. It is a small, succulent plant with diminutive leaves and is native to the regions of the Cape Provinces and Namibia. This species was first described in 1928 by the botanist Pillans. It is commonly referred to as the pygmy porkbush due to its compact size and fleshy foliage. The plant is adapted to arid environments and is typically found in rocky or semi-arid habitats where it can thrive with minimal water.
