Portulacaria namaquensis, also known as Namaqua porkbush or Namaqua portulacaria, is a succulent shrub native to the border region between the Cape Provinces of South Africa and Namibia. It was first described in 1862 by Sond.
Description
Portululacaria namaquensis is a member of the Didiereaceae family and belongs to the genus Portulacaria. It is a hardy, drought-tolerant shrub adapted to arid environments. The plant is distributed globally but is indigenous to the arid regions of the Cape Provinces and Namibia. It is sometimes referred to by the synonym Ceraria namaquensis.
