Petalostigma triloculare, known as the long-leaved bitter bark, is a rainforest tree native to eastern Australia. It is commonly found in drier rainforest habitats, particularly on sandy soils derived from granite or sandstone, and occasionally on old sand dunes.

Description

Petalostigma triloculare belongs to the genus Petalostigma in the family Picrodendraceae. This species is native to the region of Queensland and was first described in 1864 by author Müll.Arg. It thrives in drier rainforest environments and is often associated with sandy soils formed from granite or sandstone. The tree is also occasionally found on old sand dunes.
