Parrotia subaequalis, a member of the Hamamelidaceae family, is a tree native to southeastern China. It occurs in Anhui, southern Jiangsu, and northern Zhejiang provinces, with five disjunct populations in the region.

Description

Parrotia subaequalis is a flowering plant species in the Hamamelidaceae family. It is found in Anhui, southern Jiangsu, and northern Zhejiang provinces in China. The species has five disjunct populations in the area, with two in Jiangsu, two in Zhejiang, and one in Anhui. This species was formally described in 1998 by R.M. Hao and H.T. Wei, based on earlier work by Hung T. Chang.
