Musa coccinea, known as the Okinawa Torch, is a species in the Musaceae family. It is native to tropical China and Vietnam and is characterized by its red flowers. This bat-pollinated evergreen perennial is part of the section Callimusa and has a diploid chromosome number of 2n = 20. It was first described in 1799 by Andrews.
