Mitchella undulata

Mitchella undulata belongs to the genus Mitchella within the Rubiaceae family, commonly known as the coffee family. It is distributed across several East Asian regions, including China Southeast, Japan, Korea, the Kuril Islands, and Taiwan. The species was formally published in 1846 by botanists Siebold and Zuccarini. As a member of the Rubiaceae, it shares characteristics typical of the family, which includes a wide range of flowering plants, many of which are economically significant.
