Lithops viridis

Lithops viridis is a member of the Aizoaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the ice plants. The species was formally described by H.A. Lückh and first published in 1958. It is part of the Lithops genus, which includes small, succulent plants adapted to arid environments. The natural distribution of Lithops viridis is limited to the Cape Provinces in South Africa, where it grows in rocky or gravelly soils. Like other members of the genus, it is likely adapted to survive in hot, dry climates with minimal water availability.
