It is one of the smallest species in the genus Lithops. Recent molecular analysis has reclassified it as a subspecies of Lithops karasmontana.

Description

Lithops amicorum belongs to the Aizoaceae family and was originally described as a distinct species. The plant was named to honor the group of four friends responsible for its discovery. Collected in 2004, it was formally published in 2006. Subsequent genetic studies have led to its reclassification as a subspecies of Lithops karasmontana. It is characterized by its small size and white flowers, making it one of the smallest members of the Lithops genus.
