Trachycarpus takil, known as the Kumaon Fan Palm, is a species of fan palm native to the Himalayan foothills in southern Asia. It closely resembles Trachycarpus fortunei.

Description

Trachycarpus takil, the Kumaon Fan Palm, is a member of the Arecaceae family and is found in Nepal and the West Himalaya. This species was first described in 1905 by Beccari. It is a fan palm that is closely related to Trachycarpus fortunei and shares similar characteristics.
