Pseudotsuga japonica, known as Japanese Douglas-fir, is a conifer in the Pinaceae family. It is native to Japan and can reach heights of up to 25 m. In Japanese, it is referred to as togasawara.

Description

Pseudotsuga japonica (Shiras.) Beissn. is a species of conifer in the pine family, Pinaceae. Endemic to Japan, it is a medium-sized tree that grows up to 25 m tall. The species was first described in 1896. It is commonly known as Japanese Douglas-fir in English and is called togasawara in Japanese.
