Description

Pseudotsuga macrocarpa (Vasey) Mayr is a member of the Pinaceae family and is native to the mountainous regions of southern California. The species is characterized by its large cones, which are the largest in the genus Pseudotsuga. It was first described in 1889 and is commonly referred to as Big-cone Douglas-fir.
