Halothamnus sistanicus

Halothamnus sistanicus is a member of the Amaranthaceae family, a group of flowering plants commonly known as the amaranth family. This species is part of the genus Halothamnus, which includes various shrubs adapted to arid and semi-arid environments. The plant is endemic to Iran, indicating its natural occurrence is restricted to this region. The species was formally published in 1991 by Kothe-Heinr., building upon the earlier taxonomic work of De Marco and Dinelli.
