Halothamnus glaucus (M.Bieb.) Botsch. is a species in the genus Halothamnus, part of the subfamily Salsoloideae within the family Amaranthaceae. It is native to Western and Central Asia.

Description

Halothamnus glaucus is found in several countries across Western and Central Asia, including Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, the North Caucasus, Tajikistan, the Transcaucasus, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. It was first described in 1981. This species is a member of the Amaranthaceae family, which is commonly known as the amaranth family.
