Description

Erythronium umbilicatum is a member of the Liliaceae family and is commonly known as the dimpled troutlily. This species is native to the southeastern United States, with a distribution across the Piedmont and Southern Appalachian areas. It has been documented in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. The species was first described in 1963 by C.R. Parks and Hardin.
