Desfontainia fulgens is a species in the genus Desfontainia, family Columelliaceae, native to southern Argentina and central to southern Chile. It was first described in 1837 by D.Don.

Description

Desfontainia fulgens belongs to the Columelliaceae family and is part of the genus Desfontainia. This species is indigenous to regions in southern Argentina as well as central and southern Chile. The scientific name was first published in 1837 by the botanist D.Don. It is one of the species within the Desfontainia genus, which includes several shrubs native to South America.
