Corynocarpus cribbianus is a tree species in the family Corynocarpaceae, native to New Guinea and north-eastern Queensland in Australia. It can grow up to 25 metres tall and is found in various rainforest habitats, from near sea level to elevations of 1,800 m. The species was named in honour of J. G. Cribb, an Australian pomologist.

Description

Corynocarpus cribbianus, known as cribwood, is a tree in the Corynocarpaceae family. It is endemic to New Guinea and north-eastern Queensland. The tree produces whitish flowers with slightly rose-tipped petals, which later turn distinctly rose-coloured. Its inflorescences are somewhat pyramidal. This species is found in lowland and montane rainforests, occurring from sea level up to 1,800 m elevation. The specific epithet cribbianus honours J. G. Cribb, an Australian pomologist. The species was first described in 1956.
