Description
Cochlospermum angolense is a rhizomatous shrub or small tree found in thicket and wooded savannah habitats. It is distributed in Angola and Zaïre. Common local names include bolututu and mbulututu. The species is used for medicinal purposes and is listed as Endangered (EN) according to Costa et al. (2009, 2019). The tree was first described in 1868 by Welw. ex Oliv.
