Reynoutria multiflora, known as Chinese fleeceflower, is a flowering plant in the Polygonaceae family. It is native to regions including central and southern China, Hainan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand. The plant is also referred to as he shou wu in East Asia and is sometimes called fo-ti, though this is considered a misnomer.

Description

Reynoutria multiflora is a species of flowering plant in the buckwheat family, Polygonaceae. It is native to central and southern China, Hainan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand. The plant is known in English as tuber fleeceflower and Chinese (climbing) knotweed. In East Asia, it is referred to as he shou wu. Another name for the species is fo-ti, which is considered a misnomer. The species was published in 1941 and is found in several regions across Asia, including Korea, Japan, and the Transcaucasus.
