Blitum californicum, known as California goosefoot, is a flowering plant in the Chenopodiaceae family. It is native to California and the Northwest region of Mexico. The species was first described in 1874 by S. Watson.

Description

Blitum californicum is a member of the Chenopodiaceae family, commonly referred to as the amaranth family. It is found in the regions of California and the Northwest of Mexico. This species is also sometimes called 'Indian lettuce,' though this name is not specific to it. The plant was formally described by S. Watson in 1874.
