Butomus junceus is a species in the genus Butomus, belonging to the family Butomaceae. It was first described by Turcz. in 1854.

Description

Butomus junceus is native to various regions including Altay, Buryatiya, Chita, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Mongolia, and Yakutskiya in Russia, as well as parts of Central Asia like Kirgizstan and Tadzhikistan. It is also found in North America, particularly in Connecticut, Michigan, New York, Nova Scotia, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Prince Edward Island, and Vermont in the United States and Canada. This species is part of the Butomaceae family, a small family of flowering plants.
