Leplaea thompsonii is a species in the genus Leplaea, belonging to the Meliaceae family. It is known as Black Guarea in English and by the same name in the target language. The scientific name was published in 2012 by E.J.M. Koenen and J.J. de Wilde, based on earlier work by Sprague & Hutch.
