Averrhoa bilimbi is a fruit-bearing tree in the genus Averrhoa, family Oxalidaceae. Native to the Maluku Islands and Sulawesi in Indonesia, it has become naturalized and is widely found in Southeast Asia. It is also cultivated in tropical South Asia and the Americas. The tree produces edible but highly sour fruit and is closely related to the carambola tree.
