Avicennia alba is a tropical mangrove species in the Acanthaceae family. It is distributed across coastal and estuarine regions in India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Oceania.

Description

Avicennia alba, described by Blume in 1826, is a member of the Acanthaceae family. It is native to a wide range of locations including Langkawi, Bangladesh, the Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, the Caroline Islands, India, Java, the Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaya, the Marianas, Myanmar, New Guinea, the Northern Territory, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Thailand, and Vietnam. This species is adapted to coastal and estuarine environments and is part of the mangrove ecosystems in these regions.
