Erythronium montanum, known as the avalanche lily, is a species in the Liliaceae family. It is native to British Columbia, Oregon, and Washington, where it grows in alpine and subalpine regions. The species was first described in 1891 by S. Watson.

Description

Erythronium montanum is a member of the lily family and is commonly referred to as the avalanche lily. It is found in the coastal areas of British Columbia and the alpine and subalpine zones of the Olympic and Cascade Ranges in the Pacific Northwest. This plant is adapted to high-altitude environments and is part of the diverse flora of the region.
