Dicksonia antarctica, known as the Australian tree fern, is a tree fern species native to eastern Australia, occurring from south-east Queensland to Tasmania. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant in Australia and other regions.

Description

Dicksonia antarctica (Labill.), a member of the Dicksoniaceae family, is a tree fern native to eastern Australia. It is found in regions including Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and has been introduced to areas such as Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal, the Azores, and Madeira. The species was first described in 1806. It is often grown as an ornamental plant in both its native range and abroad.
