Protea humiflora，學名由Andrews於1808年發表，屬於山龍眼科（Proteaceae）的山龍眼屬（Protea），俗稱為Patent-leaf Sugarbush。此植物原產於南非，分佈範圍從杜圖克洛夫山脈（Du Toitskloof Mountains）至蘭格伯格（Langeberg）和瓦布姆伯格（Waboomsberg）。植株高度可達2公尺，每年7月至9月開花，8月為盛開期。
