Description
Nothofagus dombeyi 屬於南洋杉科（Nothofagaceae），學名由 Oersted 於 1871 年發表。此樹種原產於智利中部與南部，以及阿根廷南部的安第斯山脈地區。其生長迅速，能適應多樣氣候條件，常形成廣闊的純林。木材堅硬，用途廣泛，同時因其外觀優美，亦被廣泛栽培為園林樹木。
