Stachys palustris, tên tiếng Anh là hedge-nettle, là một loại cỏ dại có thể ăn được, mọc cao tới 80 cm. Loài này có nguồn gốc từ một phần châu Âu và châu Á, nhưng đã được du nhập sang Bắc Mỹ. Tên khoa học của loài này là Stachys palustris L., thuộc họ Hoa môi (Lamiaceae).
Description
Stachys palustris là loài thực vật sống nhiều năm, mọc hoang trong các vùng đất ẩm ướt. Tên loài palustris có nghĩa là 'của đầm lầy', mô tả nơi sống phổ biến của nó. Loài này phân bố rộng ở nhiều khu vực như Newfoundland, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saint Pierre và Miquelon, Bồ Đào Nha, Đan Mạch, Phần Lan, Na Uy, Thụy Điển, Vlaanderen, Vermont (Mỹ), Úc, Klæbu, Nhật Bản, Canada và một số nơi khác trên thế giới. Tên gọi khác của nó bao gồm marsh woundwort, marsh betony, clown's woundwort, clown's heal-all, và marsh hedgenettle.
