Rottboellia cochinchinensis (Lour.) Clayton
Rottboellia cochinchinensis, tên thường gọi là guinea-fowl grass, là một loài cỏ thuộc họ Poaceae. Loài này có tên gọi khác như Itchgrass, Raoul grass, corngrass, Kokoma grass, Shamwa grass và Kelly grass. Đây là một loại cỏ hàng năm, cao đến 3 mét, lá dài tới 45 cm. Hoa mọc ở đỉnh thân dưới dạng bông hình đinh ốc, gồm các bông nhỏ đôi. Tên Itchgrass xuất phát từ đặc điểm lá có lông cứng có thể gây ngứa da.
Description
Rottboellia cochinchinensis phân bố rộng ở nhiều khu vực như BR, CU, BN, SB, BI, Saint Barthelemy, VC, CO, MX, Núcleo Aceites S.A., JM, SG, No especificado, SR, Meta, Puerto López, vereda Remolino, predios de la plantacion forestal de Mavalle, AR, BB, CM, ID, AO... Loài này được công bố vào năm 1981. Cây có thân mọc thành cụm, lá dài, phiến lá rộng, và hoa mọc thành cụm ở đỉnh. Đây là một loài cỏ có thể phát triển mạnh ở nhiều môi trường khác nhau.
