Loài này được công bố vào năm 2013.
Description
Polypogon magellanicus là một loài cỏ thuộc chi Polypogon, họ Poaceae. Loài này có phạm vi phân bố rộng, chủ yếu ở các đảo và vùng ven biển của Thái Bình Dương và Nam Đại Tây Dương. Loài này thường được tìm thấy ở các khu vực có khí hậu lạnh, đặc biệt là các đảo vùng cực nam như Kerguelen, Crozet, và Falkland. Polypogon magellanicus được phát hiện và mô tả lần đầu vào năm 2013.
