Cyrtopodium andersonii, được mô tả lần đầu vào năm 1813, là một loài lan bản địa của châu Mỹ Latin. Loài này có mặt ở nhiều quốc gia như Brazil (miền bắc, đông nam, tây trung tâm), Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad-Tobago và Venezuela. Đây là loài đầu tiên được dùng để đặt tên cho chi Cyrtopodium. Loài này thuộc họ Orchidaceae, một trong những họ thực vật có hoa lớn nhất thế giới.
