Description
Cryptanthus bromelioides thuộc chi Cryptanthus, một chi bao gồm các loài cây bụi mọng nước. Loài này có nguồn gốc từ Brazil và không được ghi nhận sự phân bố tại các khu vực khác, cho thấy tính đặc hữu cao. Loài này được công bố chính thức vào năm 1836.
