Description
Calystegia spithamaea là một loài thực vật bản địa vùng đông Bắc Mỹ. Loài này có nhiều tên gọi phổ biến như low false bindweed, low bindweed, erect bindweed, và upright bindweed. Tên khoa học của loài được xuất bản lần đầu vào năm 1813. Theo Tryon, mẫu vật tiêu chuẩn (type specimen) của loài là Clayton 553, được lưu giữ tại BM (British Museum).
