Melocactus ernestii, Cactaceae familyasına ait bir bitki türüdür. Bahia ve Minas Gerais eyaletlerinde yer alan Brezilya'da doğal olarak yetişir. 1920 yılında Vaupel tarafından tanımlanmıştır.

Melocactus cinsine ait Melocactus ernestii, Cactaceae familyasına dahildir. Brezilya'nın kuzeydoğu ve güneydoğu bölgelerinde, özellikle Bahia ve Minas Gerais eyaletlerinde bulunur. Bu tür, 1920 yılında Vaupel tarafından bilim dünyasına kazandırılmıştır.
