Matteuccia struthiopteris (L.) Tod., Onocleaceae familyasına ait bir porsuk türüdür. Yayılımı, DK, FI, NO, SE, Belçika, Fransa, Hollanda, Büyük Britanya, Çek Cumhuriyeti, İrlanda, Kuzey İrlanda, İngiltere, İskoçya, Galler, Vermont-US, Nordland, Fosnes (Namdalen), Støren (Dalene) ve diğer bölgelere kadar uzanmaktadır. 1866 yılında yayımlanmıştır. Tür adı, eski Yunanca'da 'porsuk' anlamına gelen στρουθίων (strouthíōn) ve 'porsuk' anlamına gelen πτερίς (pterís) kelimelerinden türemiştir.

Matteuccia struthiopteris, Onocleaceae familyasının Matteuccia cinsine ait bir porsuk türüdür. Bu tür, Avrupa ve Kuzey Amerika'da yaygın olarak bulunur. Bilimsel literatürde 1866 yılında yayımlanmıştır. Tür adı, eski Yunanca'da 'porsuk' anlamına gelen στρουθίων (strouthíōn) ve 'porsuk' anlamına gelen πτερίς (pterís) kelimelerinden türemiştir. Bu tür, yaygın olarak 'Fiddlehead Fern' olarak bilinir. Matteuccia cinsinde yalnızca bu tür yer alır.
