Abelmoschus moschatus, Malvaceae familyasına ait bir bitki türüdür. Asya ve Avustralya'ya özgüdür. Musk okra, Abelmosk, ambrette ve ornamental okra gibi birçok adıyla bilinir. 1787 yılında Medik. tarafından yayımlanmıştır.
Description
Abelmoschus moschatus, aromatik ve tıbbi özelliklere sahip bir bitkidir. Parque Nacional Natural Los Katíos, TW, RU, SC, CK, NU, AS, Kosrae, WS, PW, SB, Núcleo Palmaceites, FM, SG, Puerto Wilches, WF, PG, ST, PA, BR gibi bölgelerde bulunur. Genellikle tropikal ve subtropikal bölgelerde yetişir. Bitki, hem dekoratif hem de ekonomik amaçlarla kullanılır. Musk okra adıyla tanınan bu tür, özellikle kozmetik ve aromatik sanayide değerlidir.
